About Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is one of the greatest voices British pop has ever produced. Born in Aberdeen in 1954, she first found fame as one half of Eurythmics with Dave Stewart.
Eurythmics exploded in 1983 with 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)'. The song went to Number 1 on both sides of the Atlantic. They followed it with 'Here Comes the Rain Again', 'There Must Be an Angel', and 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves'.
Her solo album 'Diva' (1992) was a masterpiece — 'Why', 'Walking on Broken Glass', 'Little Bird'. She won Best British Female at the Brits eight times.
