With shimmering, paisley-dappled power pop owing equal parts to Pretty Things’ psychedelics and Badfinger’s brilliantine melody (with just a hint of XTC irony), Jellyfish became something of a sensation in the early-1990s.
The British press, American college radio, and (for a brief time) MTV all fawned over the band led by Jason Faulkner and his flowing hair, pastel garb, and emotionally drenched vocals.
