Machine Head

Following his split from the thrash outfit Vio-lence, Robb Flynn teamed up with Adam Duce in 1991 to form the Oakland, CA, metal band Machine Head.

∙ Burn My Eyes, the band’s 1994 thrash-oriented debut LP, sold more than 400,000 copies, becoming Roadrunner Records’ fastest-selling debut ever.

∙ Although the nu-metal sound of 1999’s The Burning Red proved divisive among fans, it was the first Machine Head album to crack the top half of the Billboard 200 chart.
