About Nancy Sinatra

Nancy Sinatra’s defiant and sensual music made her one of the most singular pop icons of the late ’60s, finding resonance in the work of Madonna and Lana Del Rey.

Born to Frank Sinatra and his first wife, Nancy, in 1940, Sinatra launched her singing career via TV appearances on her father’s TV programs in the late ’50s and early ’60s.

On the record label he co-founded, Reprise, Nancy released a string of Top 40 hits in the late ’60s, led by the attitude song “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” a 1966 superhit co-written and produced by Lee Hazlewood, now considered Sinatra’s most essential collaborator.
