About Nazareth
Scottish hard rock band Nazareth formed in 1968, taking their name from a lyric in The Band’s classic song “The Weight.” ∙ Nazareth’s 1973 album, Razamanaz, produced by Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover, was their international breakthrough, earning Platinum status in the UK.
∙ Their power-ballad cover of The Everly Brothers’ “Love Hurts,” released in 1975, peaked at No.
8 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the group their only Gold single.
