About Walker Brothers
A true anomaly in the ’60s pop landscape, The Walker Brothers found formidable but short-lived stardom at the tail end of the British Invasion—all without actually being from Britain, being brothers, or sounding much like The Beatles.
Instead, their music put a modish spin on Top 40 pop, with triumphant orchestrations and wall-of-sound catharsis.
Formed in 1964 in Los Angeles, the group consisted of Scott, Gary, and John Walker (all stage names), the latter of whom was originally the lead singer.
